Muchas personas piensan que el cuidado de la piel es una moda o incluso que es cosa de mujeres, pero la verdad es que no, la piel es el órgano más grande de nuestro cuerpo y preocuparnos por el es un acto de autocuidado, que tanto hombres como mujeres debemos ocuparnos de su bienestar.
Al comienzo puede ser abrumador... ya que en internet encontramos mucha información, tenemos la rutina coreana, la cosmética natural, la doble limpieza, muchos serums del mismo activo en diferentes porcentajes, varios tipos de mascarillas y exfoliantes. En fin. El mundo del skincare es infinito, pero puedo asegurarte que con una correcta guía aprenderás a conocer tu piel, y cuando lo hagas, este momento se convertirá en un ritual que disfrutarás mucho cada día.
Ahora, ¿Qué necesitas saber para empezar? Aquí te cuento todo:
- ¡El cuidado de la piel NO tiene género!, solo lo vuelvo a repetir para que nos quede claro que tanto hombres como mujeres tenemos la obligación de cuidarla.
- La piel perfecta NO existe, el mercado y las redes sociales están llenos de productos que prometen pieles lisas, sin texturas, sin poros, sin manchas, sin acné, sin arrugas, y sin manchas. Lamento decepcionarte pero ni siquiera pagando los productos más caros vas a lograr tener esta piel "perfecta". Cada piel es distinta y debemos conocer nuestra piel y sus necesidades para poder ayudarla y cuidarla como ella la necesita.
- No necesitas comprarte 20 productos para empezar a cuidar tu piel. Si eres de las personas que a duras penas se lava el rostro, lo mejor es que empieces con lo básico: limpieza, hidratación y protección solar. Una vez tengas dominado este trio puedes incursionar en más productos que le aporten otros beneficios a tu piel.
- ¿Mi rutina de piel puede ser igual a la de mi amiga o de la influencer que vi en tiktok? Rotundo NO, todas las pieles tenemos distintas características y necesidades, por lo tanto, lo que le funcione a tu amiga no significa que te funcionará a ti también.
- Tener puntos negros o un poco de acné es normal, pero si notas que tienes alguna afección como acné, antes que nada te recomiendo consultar con un especialista.
Otros consejos que quiero darte:

- Invierte, no te digo que compres los productos más del mercado, pero si que compres productos de calidad, que le hagan un favor a tu piel en vez de un daño.
- Haz de tu rutina un hábito, al comienzo será todo un desafío pero verás que cada día se te hará más fácil y se volverá un estilo de vida.
- Si piensas que una rutina de piel no es para ti, esfuérzate y por lo menos ten una rutina básica, está no solo nos ayudará a tener una piel sana si no que evitará el envejecimiento cutáneo, el daño de los radicales libres y el cáncer de piel.
- Nuestra piel puede reflejar varios factores de nuestra salud, como los niveles de estrés, equilibrio hormonal, circulación sanguínea y sobre nuestra alimentación, por esto te dejo las siguientes sugerencias:
- Toma 2 litros de agua al día.
- Come saludable ya que lo que comemos se refleja en nuestra piel.
- Haz ejercicios o intenta estar activa para que la sangre circule correctamente y llegue a todas las partes de tu cuerpo.
- Evita el consumo de alcohol y el tabaco. Si bebes alcohol, intenta reducirlo. Tienes que saber que el alcohol deshidrata. Fumar, como ya sabrás, no es bueno para la salud, así que tampoco lo es para tu piel. La nicotina hace que los vasos sanguíneos se achiquen, lo que reduce el flujo de oxígeno y los nutrientes a las células de la piel, lo que contribuye contribuir a la aparición de arrugas y al envejecimiento prematuro de la piel.
